Meet Tyler Hayes

Songs That Heal is a therapeutic music company founded by award-winning songwriter Tyler Hayes.

Tyler creates original music designed to heal, build emotional resilience, and help people reconnect with hope and wholeness.

Tyler Hayes is an award-winning songwriter, singer, and therapeutic life strategist. After nearly two decades in the music industry—with publishing deals at Warner Chappell Music, Word Music, Big Loud Shirt, and Razor & Tie—Tyler began exploring how music could be used not just to entertain, but to heal.

She spent over ten years as Music Director for Onsite Workshops, where she created The Song Workshop for Milestones, using songwriting, sound healing, and frequency work to support emotional and spiritual transformation. During her time there, she released Sing Me Back Home (Volume 1)—a record featuring ten original songs born from those healing sessions.

Tyler holds a BA from New York University and has earned certifications in life coaching, recovery coaching, and 29 additional trauma and stress-related specialties. She completed advanced trauma studies through Dr. Bessel van der Kolk’s program at the JRI Trauma Center.

In 2020, Tyler launched Songs That Heal—a therapeutic music experience that helps people process pain, build emotional resilience, and reclaim their voice. Her belief is simple but powerful: “We can sing the trauma out and sing the new in.”

Her newest offering, Songs That Heal: The Journey to Surrender, launched in February 2025. This transformative experience combines five original songs with guided journaling prompts to help listeners move toward healing and wholeness.

Raised in the small town of Thomasville, Georgia, Tyler left home at 17 to attend NYU in New York City, where she studied creative writing and music business. She continues to blend her Southern roots, creative spirit, and deep compassion to help others find healing through song.
